NDA Signing and Initial Brief

After you contact us, usually we will send you a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) to protect your business idea. Upon signing, we will set up a meeting to go over your basic requirements. 

The requirements can be very broad at this stage, for example: "We would like to build an Airbnb for Pets". (We will interpret it as - a platform connecting Pet owners with temporary lodging / home so that you can have that vacation you always wanted, while your pets are happy and secure under someone's care). 

Detailed Proposal / UX Session

After the initial meeting, we will present you our proposal detailing all the user stories / feature list, our follow up questions. estimated project duration & cost (based on the total number of front end . backend resources required). 

If you already have a backend that you want us to integrate it, you will provide us some sample documentation of the API at this stage.

Introduction to Agile Methodology - Scrum

Usually there will be 2-3 follow up meetings at your office or ours to make you understand and comfortable with how Agile Product development works. 

Once you are convinced that Monstar lab is the right mobile app development partner for you and we mutually feel that our company is able to add a lot value to your business, we will sign our contract and initiate a Kick of meeting.

Product Manager / Project Manager (PM)

Our PM (Project Manager or Product Manager) are all PMP certified / Scrum Alliance certified with vast experience in building digital products from ideation to production delivery.  PMs  are your primary contact person who will report to you every week with project progress and do Sprint Planning, Release planning & Sprint Retrospective with all stakeholders. 

Software Engineers  (Front end / Backend)

Most of our Software engineers comes with pure IT or Engineering background with over 5-8 years of experience in developing various Web & Mobile Products at different small to large enterprises in Singapore and overseas. 

UI/UX Lead

UI/UX Lead are experienced in understanding user requirement and user testing. UX Lead in particular cares a lot about how users think, what drives them and how they interact with different UX flow they create. UI / Visual Design Lead works with the winning flow from UX Study and extends it by creating stunning visual designs and experiences for the user. 

UIUX team always focuses on user centric design so often times the design process involves concept design, card sorting, wire framing, focused group, in person user interview and so on.  

Technical Lead / Software Architect

Tech Lead / Software Architect is usually a very senior resource with over 10-15 years of experience in designing backend systems and they are responsible for  overall architecture of a system - including system design, database design, API design, identifying  all the key entities and their functions, writing complex business logics etc.  In most cases Technical lead is client facing and will play an active roll in all in person client meetings, sprint planning with the client.           

Depending on the scale of the product, the Technical lead often takes an active part in handling all the common requests of a Dev ops resource including - creating different development environments (Staging, Production), Setting up cloud storage accounts (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) etc.
